Credentials

Dr. Benson was raised in Plano and attended The University of Texas at Austin where he was an honor student in mechanical engineering.  After a year-long internship in the orthopedic implant industry, he desired a career which was both craftsmanship- and people-oriented.

He received early acceptance into Baylor College of Dentistry where he graduated salutatorian of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and Odontological Honor Society.  He then completed a residency at The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

He returned to Baylor College of Dentistry and earned a Masters of Science in oral biology and completed a three-year specialty residency in Prosthodontics.  Dr. Benson has extensive training and experience in complex esthetic restorative treatments as well as all aspects of restorative dentistry, including dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and managing TMJ disorders and sleep apnea with intraoral appliances.

Dr. Benson is board certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics.

He resides in Plano with his wife and two children.
